Jennifer Tilly's birth took place on the streets of Los Angeles, California on September 16, 1958. The conditions were horrible. Her mother was a schoolteacher and an unsuccessful actor while her father sold automobiles. Jennifer, the second of her family's four children, frequently attended her mother to performances in the theater and was awed by her. Jennifer's divorce came about after she reached the age of five. Jennifer resided in British Columbia for most of her early years when her mother and others moved there. Jennifer did not have an excellent education, despite being a gifted kid. When she was in Canada she was the target of bullies often. In high school her passion for theater began to wane. In an effort to counter her loss of interest, her mother encouraged to take part as an extra in various performances. She was inspired by her mom to motivate all kids in her family to pursue a love of and love for the performing arts. Her immediate response was to take the initiative.
