Melina Kanakaredes (born in 1982) is an American actress, most well-known for her role as the detective Stella Bonasera in the CBS detective procedural drama "CSI:NY," as Dr. Sydney Hansen on the NBC drama series 'Providence' as well as Doctor. Lane Hunter on the medical drama series 'The Resident'. Her breakout role as Eleni andros Cooper in the CBS soap show "Guiding Light" was also praised.
